Before you order and check out our mold library, please understand that our molds are handmade with love and made-to-order. This means they are made fresh for you some time after ordering with batches of other orders. They are made from designs we make/create with our 3D printers and laser cutters. Lines/ridges etc. are unavoidable on handmade molds from these machines. Simply glaze or dome your demolded art with epoxy resin as normal and the "imperfections" disappear. If you are new to resin and need help on what the typical glazing/doming process is, there are plenty of helpful videos on YouTube.

MOLD INFORMATION: Every Kawaii Tomodachii mold is a surprise color as we pour different color combinations every week! All of our molds are made-to-order, meaning orders for molds come in then we pour several tables full to start the manufacturing process. Our mold blanks are hand-assembled from laser cut pieces we cut and glue together, thus all of our molds are hand poured into these blanks and cure for hours before demolding. This means items may have small flaws. Lines and ridges are unavoidable with molds from 3D prints and laser cut materials. You are meant to glaze or dome after demolding for a complete polished look. Simply glaze or dome your piece with doming resin for a flawless finish and any lines, ridges or scuffs disappear. Our molds do not need mold release sprayed on like that of plastic molds. Casting type epoxy can be poured directly into our molds and demolded at the correct time for your casting epoxy with no fuss unless something was otherwise done to the resin or mold prior to the resin curing which is discussed in but not limited to issues stated in warnings 1, 2, 3 and 4.
WARNING 1: Please be careful with which resin you use in our molds. Some resins are not for casting and some casting resins do better in thin layers. We are not responsible for damage to our molds from resin, heat or otherwise. We do not personally recommend the use of art resin in our molds, but if you do choose to use it in our molds, it is at your own risk. It is a wonderful resin with a glossy finish but we have had creators in the resin community have issues with it in various types of silicone and recommend it not be used with our molds.
WARNING 2: Do not put our molds in a pressure pot or vacuum chamber. We know it’s tempting especially with how many bubbles these pots and chambers pop out, but we urge you to use those machines on your cups of resin before adding it to the molds. Handmade molds have air pockets even when vacuumed and it could ruin the integrity of the silicone if you were to place a handmade mold in one of these machines
WARNING 3: Do not use heat directly on our silicone molds. Flames or torches on the silicone or heating up the resin too fast could cause it to snag/stick to the silicone and ruin your mold.
WARNING 4: Please make sure you are using your desired resin correctly and following instructions given by it’s manufacturer. Some resins, if you do not mix them just right or make sure you have equal parts of the epoxy parts A and B, you can end up with resin that cures way too fast before you can even pour it or even worse, resin that will ruin your mold if used incorrectly. There are many other issues regarding mixing incorrectly and as resin artists ourselves, we urge you to get familiar with your brand if you aren’t already!
